Stoneware, coloured enamel and gold overglaze painting. Figures in the landscape on the outside of the bowl, flowers inside; regular ornamentation around the base and rim.

A seal is on the base and the right side is highly stylised; this is the work of Yabu Meizan (1853–1934), a producer of Satsuma style export porcelain who lived and worked in the Nakanoshima district of Osaka.
